DB+A provided the landscape design concepts and construction documents for all the streetscapes throughout the International Park of Commerce, an industrial development by Prologis. In addition to overseeing extensive landscape plans throughout the site, DB+A was responsible for designing street corner concepts and signage.
The landscaping concept focused on a sustainable approach, using associations of similar plant species and common plant communities that encourage natural growth. By grouping complementary plant areas, the resulting landscape reduces water usage and maintenance, while also achieving a cohesive streetscape. Similarly, the strategic use of rock mulch material throughout the landscaping helped to minimize the irrigation volume required.
