Our design approach for large-format retail facilities like Costco is to create plant massing for the property’s perimeter and interior parking field to provide ideal screening opportunities. Adjacent to the building foundations, the landscaping offers compelling visuals through varied planting materials, colors, and textures. Ultimately, the functional goal for the landscaping is to withstand heavy pedestrian traffic while maximizing native planting capacity.
