About Brunnbäck´s Manor house
Brunnbäck is a meeting place with fine old traditions on the river Dalälven, in Southern Dalecarlia, not far from Krylbo. Here an army of Dalecarlian peasants conquered the army of the Danish king in the year 1521 in the ‘Battle at Brunnbäck’, which made way to autonomy and further on to today’s Kingdom of Sweden.
In the 17th century an inn, a post office and a district court house were located here.
Here, at the ‘Ferry Berth of Brunnbäck’, people passed on their way to Stockholm.
